During WordPress installation, the date format of your website is set to ‘Month day, Year’ (For e.g. March 7, 2017). And, the time format is set as ‘g:i a’ (For e.g. 2:55 am). This date and time format is seen in the posts of website. What if you want Day (e.g. Sunday) with date. Or you may not want full month name in date. Even in Time format, you may want 24 hours format or 12 hours format with ‘AM’ and ‘PM’ in uppercase. For this, you have to change the default date/time format of your WordPress website.

Step 1:
Login to WordPress Dashboard. Click on the Settings >> General menu as shown in screenshot below.
Step 2:
You’ll land to General Settings page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and choose the preferred Date and Time format by clicking the respective radio buttons.
Finally, click on the Save Changes button.
